Why Is It So Threatening?

Light Shines Brightest In Dark Places

Sponsored by CrisDental Eugene

Why is it so threatening to some that I believe differently than they do?

My idea’s about COVID, the vaccine, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, CRT, Climate Change and on and on.

Over the past decade or longer it seems we’ve become a culture of “I’m right and you’re wrong.”

But it’s actually more than that.

When I share an idea or thought that challenges someones belief, there’s not just a disagreement, it’s as though the whole world hangs in the balance and by me and others, believing differently, we’re putting the entire cosmos at risk.

It’s really stupid and rather childish.

If you believe what you believe so strongly, then why is my disbelief so threatening to you?

You should be secure in your idea without any need to convince me otherwise.

I think it’s great to state and to have strong opinions but we have to leave room for others to disagree.

It is my personal belief that when someone begins to bully their opponent the reason might have more to do with their insecurity in their opinion than their criticism of mine.

There are a lot of people who pay attention to headlines that tickle their ears and reinforce their beliefs.

They don’t read the article or find conflicting information to challenge their assumptions.

I do see that changing a bit.

But with a corrupt media fueling the one sided political fire and a population of consumers not critics, the road is rocky and smooth sailing something for the future.

I encourage you to dig, just a bit deeper and get really uncomfortable with your beliefs.

Look for all the inconsistencies and refuse to simply brush them off.

Then ask yourself, why is me or someone else, believing you are wrong, is so threatening to you.
