When fires start in Oregon forests, often times loggers and others in the industry, are some of the first people on the scene to fight fires.
Loggers drop everything to get their crews, equipment and expertise to the fire.
On a recent trip to Oregon we were scheduled to meet a logging company at one fire but overnight the weather changed, a new fire erupted near Cottage Grove and as is often the case, the loggers were on the move.
