Thy Will Be Done

Thy Will Be Done

Sponsored by CrisDental

A friend of mine, who is a deep thinker, wrote something on social media that brought great comfort to my soul.

At almost 65 I still have plenty of “irons in the fire”.

I’m more choosey about what I do and don’t do for work.

Our strengths and weaknesses are often closely related.

I’m fortunate, mine put me in a career where exposing lies, untruths and mix messages is something I get paid to do.

I’m working on a couple of new projects.

For decades the environmental community has told just one side of the timber story.

They forgot how environmentally sustainable timber products are compared to everything else that’s out there.

They have but one goal and that is to shutdown the industry.

At the same time they preach the need for more affordable housing.

You can’t have both.

The other lie that’s being exposed is that a college education is the best way to a fulfilling, successful, meaningful life.

I remember growing up if you didn’t go to college you were considered “less than” those who did.

Now colleges and universities have priced people into debt and the facts show a lot of people make great livings without being college educated.

According to the latest figures there’s a 16% drop in high school kids going to college and an 18% increase in those going into the trades.

During the pandemic we didn’t need anymore college professors or lawyers what we needed were carpenters, plumbers, builders, truck drivers and on and on.

Value is a funny thing.

Things like tyranny, manipulation and control often accidentally expose the truth and now our workforce is set free from the lies that guided us for so long.

I’m working on funding for both projects.

We’re doing well but still need a few more to come on board.

I wake up thinking about it and go to sleep worrying about it.

My friends words this morning “Thy Will Be Done” is a prayer Jesus made to God when He was at the pinochle of is career.

If funding is to come through then it will.

It’s not my will that matters but His.

Thanks Bil Heiser

Tyranny?? Who was shot or arrested for not wearing a mask or getting vaccinated? Business folks made choices that angered their clients and employees. That is not tyranny, that's Americans making choices that behoove them. Business folks got to stay open but had to pay fines to do so, No one took their freedom or life for the choices they made. The folks remembered who cared about their wellbeing and those that just wanted their money. They made their choice, and their business is gone. Many businesses survived the pandemic, the ones that modified the way they did business, did well enough to still be going when the pandemic 'dust' settled. Others that did not care about public health are…

Tyranny will reveal its ugly head if trump gets reelected. Full stop.

Decades ago Imany of us worked hard to maintain and expand “trades” education in high schools. Some of the education “overlords “ told us we were wrong and that all kids should go to college or at least take all the academic classes in HS. My question to them was “who will build the houses and repair the plumbing?” Crickets.

And of course many kids don’t like academic classrooms.

And now we are paying the price for those, "cricket attitudes". Some of the trades like ours ( furniture repair/refinishing/repurposing) will die and generations of experiance lost because nobody is interested. Sad. - M
