Heads Up, Keep Moving

I just read the Dow is already down 900 points and it’s only 6am Montana time.
Our world is arguing over whether it’s okay for a man to pretend to be a woman and be allowed to punch a woman on the Olympic stage.
Inflation is not getting any better as the economy teeters on the edge of recession.
Add to that the whole presidential race….it’s enough to make you not want to get out of bed in the morning.
A friend sent me a story about the five loaves and two fish rally Jesus had back in the day.
The story reminds us that Jesus is not defined by earthly boundaries.
We have people who pay too much attention to the troubles of the world and many more who try to ignore them away.
It’s not going away, in fact those troubles linger longer than many thought they would.
I read yesterday where when Jesus raised a man from the dead, before the miracle happened, He thanked God.
He didn’t wait for results He had faith God would do as He asked and thanked Him right away.
There seems to be a theme building, one of trust, faith and dependence, not on my own understanding but on the faith that God is good, He hears our prayers and His desire is to set us free.
It is a beautiful, clear morning here in Montana.
There are millions of “things” clamoring for my attention.
So as each find’s it’s way into the projector running in my head I must cut and edit what I can do and not do what I cannot.
It is not my job to take five loaves and two fish and feed the crowd, it’s my job to have faith and bring what little I have to the table.
It is easy to wait for results to thank God for feeding everyone.
To wait means if I don’t see it happen in my time, I can back out and not look like a fool.
OR, I can trust He will do as I request and thank Him right here and now for what is about to happen.
It’s our choice.
