I’m Frustrated and Disheartened!
"For the time will come when people will not tolerate healthy doctrine, but with itching ears will surround themselves with teachers who cater to their people's own desires. " ~ 2 Tim 4:3.
Someone who follows one of my pages sent this to me this morning.
I think he noticed how frustrated I was with some of you over a post quoting Ayn Rand from 1957.
It was talking about a warning about times such as we are in right now.
But many of the comments, rather than discuss her words, focused on discrediting her.
I’m not a big follower of Rand.
Some were ripping her apart for not being godly enough or following Christ.
Others, for other things she had done or said.
But they would not discuss or acknowledge the truth she was speaking about the current times we are in and scary stuff our government is doing.
You do the same thing to Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro.
Instead of listening to what they say you attack character as if you are in middle school on the playground fighting over the tetherball.
I find myself living in two worlds: One in Montana where truth still matters and keyboard warriors still have to face each other at the grocery store or walking around downtown. What you say to others will catch up to you because you live as a community not behind the safety of a curser and a white screen.
But my business still takes place in this world of half-truths, mean spirits and comments that need no accountability and where opinions are half-baked and critical thinking is not thinking critically but being critical of everything and everyone for anything.
Discussion is gone, debate centered not on listening but winning seems to be the rule of the day.
A professionally trained counselor friend told me she is seeing what basically boils down to mental illness in people, a result of lockdowns, fear and intimidation.
I’m not going to be silent and yet there’s a cost.
But I am going to “build a wall” to separate my worlds.
My Rabbi says “Peace is the only way to find understanding”.
It is clear our current culture has no intention of finding Peace or understanding it only seeks to win.
My Get Real with Rick Dancer shows will still present controversy when appropriate but the best way to fight the Evil Inclination is showing stories of good, so that’s going to be a major focus.
I have a group called “What would Rick Dancer think of that” and that is where I will “stick it to the man”.
I may sometimes share to my other pages but I will keep most of my pages uninteresting to those who just want to argue.
Social media is losing some of its power and appeal and the numbers are dropping on all platforms.
We will be moving as much traffic as possible to our website rick@rickdancer.com so please go there an login to subscribe.
In a few short weeks 5k have come over.
My tolerance for intolerance is growing thin.
My need to find good to help silence the bad is overwhelming.
So, if this sounds like something you’re into, come on over.
If you just want to troll, don’t bother.
And remember, stay involved just enough to be dangerous to the cultural monitors but without getting sucked into the “Crazy.”

Truer words have never been said. I would add that many have been blinded by Satan and as a result can't see or speak truth and are unaware of their evil. - M
Trying to stay away from Crazy is a fulltime job.
