Freedom From Censorship

Perfect Reminder of WHY JULY 4th Is So Important.

There is no better place, in this writers mind, to celebrate the birth of this nation than a rodeo.

Inside the fairgrounds boundary is a safe zone to love, care and be proud of this country.

No one here is protesting the latest disagreement or harping on headlines of the day.

Here, freedom is in vogue and woke unrecognized as “a thing.”

So I get up this morning, turn on the social media machine, and the first thing that pops up is a warning from one such company

that my account has been “dinged” for violating the community standards sometime in the last year. WTF? Which standard? What post? Last year?

They won’t tell you, there’s no one to call, you can appeal which does no good, so how am I supposed to understand without clarification?

See, it’s not about understanding or conversation it’s about control.

This censorship is what’s wrong with America and completely against what those who formed our country intended for us.

It seems when things don’t go cultures way, rather than finding ways to use the process to make change, they instead try to change the rules or disallow dissent when it goes against their way of thinking.

They try to bully people out of jobs, off courts and out of the spotlight to silence opposing points of view.

That’s now America!

That’s not Freedom!

And it won’t work.

This is why we are working hard to move our viewers to our website rick@rickdancer.com. The future is unclear but what is clear is social media is trying to dictate our behavior. The other interesting aspect in all of this is social media use is on the decline.

Even my own screen time dropped 22% this last week. When I read that I laughed out loud and thought to myself, yeh, the fight to be free is real for all of us, and if we don’t recognize what is happening, those censoring now, may find themselves financially and socially censored in the future.

Happy 4th of July.

Let Freedom be our Prayer and God our guide.

Remember it is better to be wise than right.
