Exciting Times In America

Everyday I wake up to another headline that tells me America is on the rebound.

Some of us pinch ourselves we can’t believe we ever got to this amazing place of restoration.

Oh, there’s plenty of dysfunction and hard steps that must be made, but most of America is on the same page.

We don’t care what the Republicans or the Democrats want.

Both have had their chance being in charge and blew it.

That’s what those who hate Trump so much don’t understand.

To many of us he’s not a Republican, that’s the game he has to play.

He’s a guy who wants to turn this country around and in a few short weeks has done more than most presidents do in an entire eight years.

Oh, there are still plenty of roadblocks, most of them created by people who fear change.

Just from what Trump, Elon and the Musketeers have uncovered so far, you know the hardliners in both parties have plenty to hide and are scared to death what the American people will do when they find out what the politicians have been doing.

I heard Senator Chuck Schumer say the dumbest, most telling statement in a press conference yesterday.

He said something like Everyone knows there’s waste in government but you can’t take a meat cleaver and just start hacking away.

What? So hiding our money, lying to us about how it’s being spent is just normal DC? Chucky, that’s the problem. You and your cronies are why the American people are backing Trump.

And by the way Mr Senator, you can start hacking away at the problem.

You have to start somewhere. I know the normal DC way is to talk and talk about why solutions won’t work. You do that until people forget. We’re not forgetting.

The only thing the opposition has right now is fear. So they are spinning their yarn and creating doubt. Unfortunately, as they were with COVID, people are gullible and love to devour “What if’s” rather than “Let’s try it.”

I don’t see Elon and his crew as hackers. Like any good businessman knows, you have to think outside the box, dig deep, and when you make a mistake, fix it. Government, and its fearful followers, don’t seem to understand that principle.

We have an administration that's bringing together a cabinet of former Democrats, Independents and people who reject partisanship and instead want answers. People speak of diversity but that's just talk. This president actually practices it.

If you don't see it it's because you don't want to.

Some are really scared right now. They are lashing out at those of us who speak about these things that scare them. I get it, to a point. But the nastiness has to stop. You can’t threaten people just because you don’t like what they say. Well you can I guess, but in the next sentence don’t tell me how openminded, caring, and kind you are. Actions speak louder than words and right now America can’t worry about coming together, that will happen. We must push forward, even though it’s painful. But remember, when this is over we all have to live together. And while we can forgive, we will NOT forget what you said or your true colors when you didn’t get your way.
