Censorship Must Be Stopped
This is topic is near and dear to my heart.
As a former TV News Journalist, I think free speech is thee foundation of our nation….period.
Without it our country will fall. (that and the second amendment)
Free Speech is under attack by those who seek to control the conversation.
60 Minutes did a report the other night that leaned towards supporting suppression of speech.
I was stunned.
In Germany, and many European countries, the police can come knocking at your door if they suspect you are speaking,
writing or sharing what some might consider hate speech.
Ah, there’s the problem right there.
Who gets to define hate speech?
What ends up happening is the oversensitive, word police, use their definition of hate speech to suppress ideologies that don't line up with theirs.
It's purely control and we need to stand up to it or we risk losing everything.
Remember what they did with COVID? Yeh, they used another vague term called "Misinformation" to spread their own. How many people died because of the silencers? My guess millions and still the free speech deniers blame us.
No way.
Hey I see hateful comments on my social media all the time.
Demeaning, nasty, hurtful comments wielded by the same people who tell me I’m a hater when I question their ideas.
See where this gets sticky?
If enough of them, gain the public attention, they can use “hate” as a way to put you in jail, shut you up, destroy those they don’t agree with.
This is nothing new, it goes all the way back in time but now, rather than blantant it's masked behind virtue signaling words designed to make them sound kind and the rest of us mean. Bullshit.
People should play nice and not use hateful speech, I agree.
But a lot of folks don't do their homework and when caught in a debate of ideas fall back on labels and accusations, as a way to discredit their adversary.
America is built on Free Speech.
It's the bedrock of everything we are.
The problem with defining hate is who gets to do that, you? Me? the government?
We saw what happened during the Biden administration when people used their free speech “rights” to stand against some of his ideas. Those people ended up in jail, tied up in court, shunned, demeaned, bankrupted and destroyed. Um. people that’s the very definition of authoritarian leadership and the complete opposite of democracy. Oh, there’s that word the hate speech definers often use against those
they disagree with....threat to democracy. (oh brother)
What you learn is the anti-free speech folks have something to hide and their arguments don’t hold water.
They often call out in others, what they see in themselves.
But they have the right to do that. Sure, it’s immoral and destructive, but if censorship wins, our nation will be lost. If I get to say what I want, so do they. I'm all for that meanness and all.
Keep your eyes open and your ears listening.
Censorship is going to be softened and made virtuous. Don’t fall for it.
Keep your eyes upward. Oh, and as we see right now, in the end truth prevails.
Hate can be covered but its stain eventually soils everything they say.
When did conservatives become pro Nazi and pro Russia? I seriously would like an answer to this question? Are you all not seeing this? Have you looked into the AFD party in Germany? The one that Musk and Vance are supporting? Does this not bother you? Because it’s not wva n being spoken in code anymore. Our leaders are pro Nazi/ pro Putin? Do these views represent the they o supporters? This is serious shit. You can’t just call it fake news. This is REAL. Someone please answer my questions with an intelligent response, meaning, don’t call me a “libtard”/ etc. if you support these things, I want to know why, and when did this become acceptable.
Man, you are such a hypocrite in so many ways, but namely this one. How many people have you blocked from commenting on your social media pages? Hmm? I would guess 100s if not thousands. You say that you hate 60 minutes amd that you think they approve of this behavior from Germany. I watched the episode and nowhere in that segment is there even a nod towards approval of these types of laws. You are a liar and constantly spread misinformation, and yet you’re still here doing it every day thanks to free speech. You just can’t deal with real journalists, it’s too bad.
