Be Anxious For Nothing: Don't Look Back.

How often do we lose sleep or hope because we worry about our future?

We get so wrapped up in money, clothes, friends, difficult circumstances, oh and don’t forget the “to-do”lists.

Be anxious for nothing says our Lord Jesus Christ.

Concern yourself only with me (Him).

Sometimes it feels like I’m living my life in a washing machine.

The idea is to get clean, but the process involves, tossing and turning, spinning and reeling and the flooding of lots and lots of water.

What if rather than resist all of that we relaxed and went along for the ride?

Our world is in a state of adjustment and it’s not pretty.

A new era is beginning and those who don’t understand what’s happening and only see the ways of old going away, will fight to hold onto, even those things that don’t work.

We’re all like that in some area’s of our lives.

It’s like an animal caught in a trap. It will often times hurt itself more by thrashing and clawing at its own flesh to try to get away.

All the promises made cannot be fulfilled.

All the sins of generations before us will not be erased in one stroke of the pen.

As people we gravitate towards putting our trust in systems, people, leaders and politicians…..but they will also let us down.

We have an opportunity to free ourselves from the trap, will we take it or will we fight it so hard we do more damage than needs to be done?

There’s a lot of anger, frustration and also jubilation and that irritates those on the opposite side of either.

At the end of the day it’s where we put our trust, our attention and our loyalty that will make the difference.

Not a party, not a president, not people but the only one who can release us from the trap and hit the off button on the washing machine.

We don’t have to live trapped or stuck on spin……it’s our choice.
