I don’t know about you but I’m not real big on costumes in a bag.
I know, you see them at stores and are tempted to take the easy way out for Halloween.
Where’s your Creativity?
Where’s the Fun?
The thing I love about Halloween is coming up with a character to dress up like but I don’t want to be the 200th Superman at the costume party.
I want something clever.
I want something that makes people think you thought about your costume.
I never used to think about Halloween as a way to recycle and do something really great for people with barriers to employment but now I do.
The more I learn about Goodwill Industries and what they do to help folks find employment, the more I think Halloween is about a lot more than dress up and candy.
Halloween is a big time of year for Goodwill and if you haven’t been to a local Goodwill Store in a while, you may be in for some surprises.
Take a look at this video we (RickDancer Media Services) produced for Goodwill.
Remember, when you donate to Goodwill or shop, even for a Halloween costume, you are helping a lot of people in our community.
Now, go have fun.
