You look at Oregon Differently when running for office.
Oregon is so beautiful. It’s interesting when you are running for statewide office you look at it differently. Not the office, but the state. You keep thinking in the back of your mind, if I win I will be representing the people of this state. As you walk by people you can’t help but think about what a huge honor it would be and how much responsibility would rest on your shoulders. I’ve lived in Oregon all my life and it doesn’t matter what part I’m in I believe God has richly blessed this place and it’s people.

love the pictures of the sea….thanks.
I just am writing to remind you that a large amount of people in our state couldn’t email even if they wanted too. In order to facilitate volunteers who have a wide variety of levels of technological expertise please consider a statewide 1 800 elect rick – approach to gathering non tech-oriented volunteers. I think you might be surprised how many people do not get directly involved in things because they are only invited in in a way that they can not understand or are intimidated by. If a 1-800 Rick Dancer number is set up I believe many may call in with a snail mail address or just a call back number. Make it a easy to remember number and put it on bumper stickers with large brightly colored numbers. Have a kit ready for these rural folks so they can set up their own micro campaign after they call or mail in. Rural residents seem like real supporters of your take back the government for the people approach. Using creative ways to involve them easily (like even a campaign poster that can be printed directly from the website?)could be wise. As I’ve said before I think your campaign is write on with its message of getting the government to work for the people of oregon. Many of our states bridges are older than the Minneapolis bridge which collapsed. This is a disgrace and the public doesn’t realize how much risk there is in letting the government and media delay and deny this problem(and gamble with the lives of our residents, guests and infrastructure). Almost forgot your phone number at the city club website is out of date just so you know .
If elected Sectary of State, what will you do to stop Oregon from being a Sanctuary State for illegal aliens?
I asked your opponent the same question on the Richard Strum show this past Saturday. I did not like her answer about it being a federal issue. Senator Walker did not seem to be aware that both Arizona and Oklahoma had developed solutions, which I think Oregon should adopt.
Darrell,
As Secretary of State I can work to make sure that only people legally entitled to vote actually vote.
The issue of immigration is bigger than the Secretary of State’s office. It’s a national issue that needs a national solution.
If I remember correctly, I read something recently that said Arizona and Oklahoma both came up with their own plans but that they were having trouble getting the money and/or public support to get much actually done. Have you heard that?
Hi Rick,
I have just recieved the voters Pamphlet and am wondering why the Republican contenders for President are not listed with their resumes. Some Democrats may want to vote for a Republican. Would also be fair to list all candidates.
We miss you on TV but hope you win!
Dr.Larry and Carolyn Wirtz
I don’t know either. I guess once elected we’ll have to look into that huh Larry. Thanks for the votes.
Rick
