YIPPY, YAHOO My PSA is Down Again.

Okay, I’ve got tears in my eye, a smile on my face and a glass of wine in my hand. I just got the best Christmas Gift ever.

First I have to say I love my Doctor, Dr. Hung and Oregon Health Sciences University. I stopped by at 11 this morning, gave them some blood for a PSA test and my results are in already.

My Doctor just called me at 7:28pm to tell me my PSA is down from 10 in June, 2.75 three months ago, to 1.59. What that means is the cancer is probably dying.

No one will ever understand what that means until you’ve been here/there. I am so excited I could scream. For one, I don’t have to wait for three or four days for the results. Plus, I think it is so cool that OHSU gets those tests done that quickly. I also think it’s wonderful that my doctor, Dr. Hung knows I’m worried and a simple call means the world to me.

But the best part of the night is my wife hugging me.

You are blessed in so many ways! Sometimes those numbers mean nothing. But once you have to keep track of them, they mean everything!

That is a great thing to have just before Christmas comes. I can only imagine what it was like to try and keep off you mind and know that some sort of news is coming. I am glad to hear that your numbers are shrinking. I hope you celebrate good tonight. You not only deserve it…but you have earned it. Have a great week!

Rick, congratulations! one less mountain to climb! I think we discovered our cancers at the same time and mine too, after the battle of my life, is gone! I call them voodoo doctors, I admit, but I would be gone by now if it weren’t for them. Have a very merry Christmas, and you are right on that score as well, He is the reason for the season!

That is so wonderful. Keep lowering those numbers. By the way you are truly blessed to have such a beautiful woman by your side so many friends out there rooting for you. We love you very much and want you around for many more years. Hang in there you are doing great….
