Life at the end of a Pole

IMG_0517I’m not much of a fisherman. I like to fish. But it’s not something that runs through my veins. My youngest son Jess is 100% fisherman. The guy is amazing at it. When he gets a spare second, he picks up his pole and heads to a river. Nice thing is he has a girlfriend who also loves to fish. My barber, Lee Myers, made good on his promise by taking us on a fishing trip down the Mckenzie River yesterday. Lee’s a great barber and a good guy. We spent the whole day up there. I took my video camera with me and brought back the big one…..(story that is).

  • Rick, this is just awesome. Real. That's what I was hoping for and knew you'd share with us. Something real. Something where we're going to see something. We want to experience life. We're so disconnected sitting as these computers. When we just get a glimpse of something DIFFERENT than our own lives we understand why something as simple and peaceful as fishing is really something special.

    Thanks.

  • Great video with you your son and my dad floating down the river. Looks like you guys had a great time. If you can try to get my dad to make something in his dutch oven. The food is unbelieable. :)

  • Way to make me want to fish, Rick…. What did you guys get?

  • I love to fish. It seems since my dad died several years ago I haven't been fishing, but I have been constantly fishing for souls. And I always catch my limit because we are in Harvest Season.
