Let the Games Begin (Click here for video)

Surviving cancer is a battle. I don’t see myself really fighting the disease but fighting my mind. There are so many treatments and you have to decide (Rick and Kathy) what is best for you. You can listen to others but at some point this is between you, your spouse and God. Believe it or not it’s getting a little better. Now, keep in mind that the word better has a different definition than it did before I knew I had cancer.

I just finished viewing your blog. I'm so sorry for cancer entering your life. No one is ever prepared for such news, which turns one's life and family upside down.

I'll be praying for the Lord's "generous wisdom" for you and your wife, Kathy as you approach each new decision concerning treatments. Trust your "Abbba Daddy" will reveal new depths of his love for you as you make this journey together.

Thanks for letting your light shine so brightly in the community over the years!
Much courage and grace to you,
    Lyn TowneLy

you probably dont remember me, my name is dana bellinger you did a story on boey oh back in 2007, but you also did a story on my daughter jasmine bellinger, both were fighting cancer at the time, when boey had passed it was a very sad time for all of us, jasmine my daughter is still in remission, we just keep lifting her up to god and thanking him every day that he healed her, im so sorry for what you are having to go through cancer is not an easy thing to go through, infact im not sure im am over it 3 years later, i will pray for you and you family tonight in my prayers, you were someone that i reaally looked up to in the media world, you took charge, you let oregon know that childhood cancer existed, not many parents know what to look for, or even that its out here, so thank you for being you, and may god heal your body as he has healeed jasmine. take care and god bless.
