REAL STORIES ABOUT REAL PEOPLE.

Kathy is a CASA

There is so much I want to say about my wife being sworn in as a CASA volunteer today but need to be careful because both of us dislike when people write things about love ones on Face Book and it sounds all corny or like a bragging Christmas letter.

For 10 years Kathy has wanted to serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate but raising our boys and living life seemed to get in the way.

As long as I can remember Kathy has stepped into the lives of young women to encourage and impart her wisdom but this is on a whole new level.

I watched her struggle through literally hours of homework and attend weeks of training and I’m really proud of her.

I’m excited to see the doors this opens for her. I’m even more excited to know kids and families in our community will get to see Kathy in action. She will fight for these children and leave a bit of life with each family she works with.

It’s nice to see all those years she “Chose” to stay home with our kids are taking her to the next thing.

CASA is very lucky to have her and so are we.

Way to go honey.
