I’m pretty excited to tell you about a new TV show a friend and I are putting together for next year. It’s not a news show but will have stories that will be news to you. It’s not a repeat of what we used to do but an attempt to discover this new world of media in a way that is fun for your to watch and gets you involved in your community at the same time.

We will be taking stories we’ve shot for clients, groups like Lane County Government, the City of Creswell, The City of Cottage Grove, Womenspace, Oregon Supported Living Program, Look Me In The Eye and local business features and putting them into shows that will air twice a month on Sunday Nights at 4:30 on KEVU/MyTV.

We’ll also go out and shoot special stories and interviews on things we think are important and we may even do video blogs. This will be a work in progress and to be honest we’re not sure how it will all work but isn’t that the fun of something new. Isn’t that what helps us tread new ground rather than repeating the same old mistakes over and over again.

The problem with current television is it’s not current. Much of what is done is out of touch with people. There’s no edge and asking people to sit and listen to someone at a desk read the news is a dying art at best. We are not saying we have the answers but we are saying we’re willing to look for them.

Rick Dancer TV is all about giving you a voice and showing you some of the positive things that are going on in our world. Because despite what you see every night on the news there are plenty of great things happening you just have to know where to find them and boy do we know where to look.

Here are a couple of promo’s you’ll see running on KEVU and KLSR “Fox”.
