I think I saw you this morning in a dream.
I look in the doorway and find three men standing around my mother. She’s sitting in her chair talking with them. They are familiar but I’ve never seen them in person. I stand there, not able to say a word, but have so many questions, number one, what are you doing in my mother’s room.
As I continue to watch, they all notice me standing there. I say to them what’s going on and then I realize this is it. Mom is leaving. I want to scream: “no don’t take her” but her pain is gone and there’s peace written all over her face. The three men smile and I know that everything will be fine. Just before mom turns around she gives me that funny accommodating grin that says: “okay, this is it.”
Then she turns and disappears.
So, I jumped on Youtube last night and listened to some of her favorite songs. I saw my mom in the face of Jake and Jess. I felt her kiss from the lips of my wife as we just sat and cried.
Take good care of her God. She deserves it.

I hope she meets my mom there in heaven too… I know how you feel, and after 15 years, I still have the “hole”, but the memories do fill it in somewhat as time helps it heal. So cry, and remember, and cry, and lean on Jesus fully. I'll be praying for you.
