We just got word that a group of men and women, many known as cancer survivors, are tired of men not taking Prostate Cancer Screening Seriously. They’ re taking drastic measures by painting the White Horse and Rider Statue BLUE that leads into the city of Springfield. Blue is the color of Prostate Cancer Awareness. September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Members of the media are warned that this group is armed (with blue paint) and should not be considered that dangerous but purposed in their actions.

The‘BlueCrew’ starts painting at 11:15 am and Mayor Christine Lundberg says she will be available to explain why she’ s involved with the Oregon Urology Foundation and this obvious act of vandalism.
