Aufderheide Cycling 2013: Out of The Way Lunch Spots

Kathy and I found a cure for those painful hamstring muscles after/during a long bike ride.

The Story
The Aufderheide is one of the most beautiful cycle rides in the area but it's also very difficult. You climb more than 8500 feet and the last four to five miles is all uphill. When you get to the top you are sitting in a meadow (Box Canyon) with a little log cabin surrounded by butterflies.
It was a perfect day for riding. The temperature stayed in the mid 80's the whole time but on the way back we were getting pretty hot and our hamstrings were screaming. We decided to take a little swim in the South Fork of the Mckenzie. We didn't bring a swimsuit but who really needs one right? The pictures turned out to fuzzy so I didn't bother to post those (smile).

Enjoy.
